素晴らしい。I think this eel rice is the best what I have eaten. Chiefs roasted eel at the perfect texture and flavor. You can also eat through the other way called Ochazuke, which tea is added into rice. I love both way of eating.

This place was absolutely delicious!!! It was a bit pricey but I understand that eel is expensive this year because of some fishing issue. I would still come here again!!

One of the best hitsumabushi I've had at a reasonable price. The eel is crispy, and it's been cleaned well, bearing no scent of the freshwater mud that is present in some less delicious places. The sauce is the right balance of sweet and savory. Definitely will come again if in the area.

Nagoya original "hitsumabushi", open since Edo period. Charcoal grilled eel served over rice to which you pour lightly flavored dashi soup This is a very popular place with local government officers so expect crowded lunch time.

I am sure they r one of the best around town but for some reason they've decided to be close for the night and didn't serve dinner time, unlucky for me only to find that out on the spot. So my advice is to give them a call before visit if possible.
